Miami, Florida, ESTADOS UNIDOS. WENDII, the Miami-raised Cuban-American artist, officially announces her signing with Universal Music Latino, marking the beginning of a new chapter as a solo artist within a career that has been making its mark on Latin music for years. Raised in Miami, WENDII grew up surrounded by a blend of cultures, rhythms and sounds that today form an essential part of her artistic identity. Her musical style incorporates elements of Afrobeats, Dancehall, Reggae, Reparto, Merengue and Pop, blending a variety of influences into a contemporary Caribbean sound that reflects both her Cuban-American roots and the multicultural spirit of the city where she grew up.

After beginning to perform at a young age and standing out for her talent as a dancer and performer, WENDII gained recognition as a finalist on The X Factor UK and later became part of the girl group Angel 22. She now begins a new chapter as a solo artist, focused on developing a sound of her own that brings together the different influences that have shaped her personal and musical journey.

As the first step in this new chapter, WENDII announces “Muaki,” her first release with Universal Music Latino, available August 27. The single marks the starting point of a new phase in her career and introduces a musical direction that brings together the sounds, experiences and influences that have accompanied her personal and creative evolution.

Speaking about her signing and the announcement of her first single, WENDII says: “I’m so happy and excited to share that I have officially signed with Universal. This moment represents the beginning of a new chapter and the fulfillment of a dream I have worked incredibly hard for. What makes it even more special is that very soon you’ll be able to hear my first song, ‘Muaki.’ Thank God and everyone who has believed in me and supported me along this journey. With “Muaki,” WENDII embraces versatility and a musical identity that refuses to be confined to a single genre. She uses a blend of rhythms as a starting point to explore different styles and showcase the many facets that define her creative vision. The song serves as an introduction to the project by bringing together dance, performance and Caribbean rhythms, elements that feel natural to WENDII’s artistic essence.
