"YA SUENA" - GRUPO LOS EX
Monterrey, Nuevo León, MÉXICO. Monterrey, Nuevo León, MEXICO. The release of “Ya Suena” marks a key moment for Grupo Los Ex, who are betting on a track that captures the most vibrant essence of regio culture: football lived with passion, identity and pride. The song, written by Marta Orta and Raymond Valdéz, arrived as an unexpected gift to the project—right when producer and guitarist Checo (Sergio Ponce) was searching for a track that reflected the unique way Monterrey experiences the sport.

“In Mexico we overflow with passion for football, but in Monterrey even more,” the group explains. And that’s precisely the energy they wanted to capture: the stadium atmosphere, the excitement of the fans, the sound of the city when the ball starts rolling and the celebration begins. The track arrived at the last minute, when other proposals weren’t fully convincing. But one listen was enough for everyone to know it was the right one. “We loved it,” says regia star Emily.
The working relationship among the members has been surprisingly smooth, and that creative connection is reflected in the strength of the release and in the promise of what’s coming: a lot of original material already recorded and ready to be unveiled.
“Ya Suena” is not just a football track—it’s a portrait of Monterrey, its people and its sonic identity. It proves that Grupo Los Ex are building a catalog where tradition, celebration and modernity coexist naturally, and where each release reaffirms that the group is ready to shine again with renewed force.
