"ERES MI AMOR" - ERIKA RENÉE
San Antonio, Texas, ESTADOS UNIDOS. Erika Renée adds another major success to her discography with “Eres mi amor,” a powerful romantic song that explores emotional fragility while embracing the strength needed to apologize and move forward with the person who has captured her heart.
If Erika’s interpretive technique is already one of the most representative of the Texan and grupero wave, this new bandeño‑style track elevates her vocal power to levels never before explored in her music.
“Eres mi amor” was produced between Monterrey, Nuevo León, and San Juan, Texas, reaffirming the artist’s interest in blending the styles and work methods of both industries. Erika’s leap into regional Mexican music came after her international consolidation in the Texan scene, where her name has become one of the most popular outside the southern United States.
This recognition allowed her to receive songs from major figures such as Blanca Estela, one of the leading voices of the 1990s grupero movement and a favorite songwriter of Marisela; as well as Gilberto Abrego and Felipe de Jesús Jr., who also contributed to her artistic rise.
Now, with “Eres mi amor,” the Mexican‑American singer delivers a song written entirely by herself, holding nothing back in either composition or interpretation — something her fans deeply appreciate.
“I wrote this song a long time ago; I even had it recorded with a different arrangement. When we decided to release it as part of our regional‑style singles, my team suggested a new version. Diego García sent me the new track and I was thrilled. I loved the blend of banda with accordion — that bandeño sound. It felt fantastic, and I didn’t hesitate to tell Diego to go ahead and produce the song in this version,” says an excited Erika Renée.
For this release, Erika recorded her vocals at Double G Audio Recording, owned by Gerardo Robles, in San Juan, Texas, who also directed her vocal performance.
The single’s promotion includes an official music video filmed during her stay in Virginia, offering fans a glimpse of her life offstage. Some shots even feature the fireworks used to celebrate July 4th in the United States.
“Eres mi amor” is one of Erika’s most ambitious releases, blending the tex‑mex sound —where she feels most at home— with styles she learned in her parents’ home, where she grew up listening to icons like Banda Machos, Chalino Sánchez, Cadetes de Linares, Chelo, Los Huracanes del Norte, and many more.
This explains her desire to incorporate regional Mexican elements into her music. Tracks like “Al cien”, “La número seis”, “Fiera salvaje”, “Mi linda ilusión (Acoustic Ballad)” and now this new single prove that Erika Renée aims to expand her musical reach beyond Texan sounds, with skill, experience and respect for her audience.
“Mr. Gerardo Robles has always treated me wonderfully. I’ve had the opportunity to work in different recording studios, and all of them have been great; they’ve given me so much experience. I’ve learned a lot recording in Texas, North Carolina, Monterrey… I feel very fortunate for all the places that open their doors to me and offer feedback and recommendations. Just imagine the advice Mr. Gerardo Robles has given me — he has so much experience and has recorded so many artists. I actually arrived at his studio thanks to my friend Sonyta García, who highly recommended him,” the Texan artist states.
Erika Renée’s career dates back to the early 2020s, and thanks to the support of Monterrey’s audience, she has achieved a major rise in popularity, earning a solid and respected image within the recording industry.
In Mexico, her name has become synonymous with innovation and idol status, adding value to the entire Texan music scene. Her pride in defending the tex‑mex sound continues to benefit the movement.
Erika Renée is currently preparing new productions alongside Diego García, forming one of the most successful duos of the moment, while fulfilling personal and professional commitments that will keep her busy in the coming months.
Fans should stay tuned to her official social media to follow her activities and learn more about the artist widely considered “the most impactful Texan star of recent times”.
