ADALBERTO GAYTÁN INJURED DURING PERFORMANCE IN SALTILLO
Monterrey, Nuevo León, MÉXICO. On the night of June 20, during David Olivarez’s performance in Saltillo, Coahuila, an accident occurred that unfortunately sent renowned saxophonist Adalberto Gaytán to the hospital. Gaytán is one of the most respected musicians in the industry, having participated in highly acclaimed productions alongside experts such as Manuel Herrera, Jorge “Chapas” Leal, and other notable producers.In an official statement posted by Manuel Herrera on Instagram and Facebook, it was reported that during the performance of the “Texano Soñador”, Adalberto Gaytán fell off the stage due to the poor condition of the stairs leading up to the platform. The incident completely altered the plans of Olivarez’s team, as the situation required the saxophonist to be taken to the hospital.
As of the publication of this article, Gaytán remains hospitalized in a clinic in San Nicolás de los Garza. Although he is out of danger, he must remain under medical observation.
The information became public through posts made by Herrera Maldonado, a member of Olivarez’s production team, who stated that on that night he served as engineer, artistic manager, and even ambulance support.
The Texan star’s performance took place at the Arena 8 Segundos esplanade in Saltillo, where he shared the stage with La Firma, Costumbre, and other groups.
In his statement, Manuel Herrera urged event organizers to pay close attention to all safety measures on stage and throughout the production in order to prevent incidents like the one that occurred on June 20.
