GABBY TAMEZ - "DE LAS DE MI RANCHO"
SPECIAL FEATURE. One of the women who has worked the hardest on her music is Mexican star Gabby Tamez, who, despite living in the United States, never forgets her Mexican roots—especially Nuevo León, the state she is originally from.
With her musical releases, she has earned the respect of her colleagues thanks to her vocal and interpretive style; therefore, today in this section we talk about her EP titled “De las de mi rancho,” a collection of traditional songs from northeastern Mexico whose arrangement evokes the classic fara fara style, built solely with accordion, bajo sexto, and tololoche.

We highlight Nuevo León and Tamaulipas because speaking of northeastern Mexico is speaking of one culture divided only geographically, yet united by what makes them a people.
