GREEICY - LATIN GRAMMY
Miami, Florida, UNITED STATES. Colombian star Greeicy received a nomination this Wednesday, September 16, for the Latin GRAMMY® Awards in the category Best Contemporary Tropical Album, positioning her as one of the most influential artists in the Latin scene. Her path toward these awards is backed by the recognitions she has earned through the massive streaming success of her music, which has made her a global multi‑platinum artist.
Greeicy arrives at the ceremony with “Candela,” her fourth studio album, where she portrays the highs and lows of life through a bold concept centered on inner fire — the inexplicable energy that ignites the body, moves the soul, and inspires movement. To date, the production surpasses 332.3 million combined streams.
For the album, Greeicy positioned herself as a musical alchemist, leading a creative team that included Keityn, Kat Dahlia, and Branbel in composition, as well as CASTA, Gabo, Arat, and Ovy On The Drums in production. The project features collaborations with Rawayana, Cultura Profética, La Guru, Calema, and Branbel.
With this new mention, Greeicy now holds two Latin GRAMMY® nominations in her career. Her first came in 2019 in the category Best New Artist, one of the ceremony’s four major categories.
The 27th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards will take place on November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The nominations arrive after a splendid summer for Greeicy, who continues adding achievements to her career. Earlier in September, she received her first Premio Juventud for her participation in “YAPAQUE” alongside Farruko and Steve Aoki, which won Best Dance Track.
Additionally, Greeicy joins KAROL G as a special guest in three dates of her “Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour” tour. Her participation began in Los Angeles on August 16 and continues on September 27 in Houston, Texas, and October 3 in Miami.
Greeicy is also in the midst of the Candela World Tour, presenting her latest studio album Candela on stage. After conquering Europe and Canada, she is preparing to head to Latin America in September, October, and December, with confirmed shows in El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Venezuela, and Argentina.
