An album that embraces love, heartbreak and emotional truth
The production features eleven tracks exploring love, betrayal, heartbreak and farewells. The album blends duets with individual performances, highlighting the vocal chemistry between Paola and Jessi.
With “Infidelidad” as one of its standout songs, the project preserves the emotional strength of despecho while projecting it to global audiences.
A production rooted in tradition with a modern vision
Produced by Simón Escobar Uribe (“Simón Vauri”) and Andrés Felipe Alzate Ortiz (“El Burrito”), Despecho a 2 Voces maintains the essence of Colombian popular music, ranchera influences and string arrangements, while incorporating contemporary elements that broaden its reach without losing authenticity.
The result is a solid, emotional and current album that reaffirms despecho as a deeply Latin American musical language.
A tour that confirms their global impact
Alongside the album release, Paola and Jessi launched the “Despecho a 2 Voces” tour, performing in several European cities including Madrid, Alicante, Zaragoza, Lanzarote, Barcelona and Paris. One of the most memorable moments was their show at La Cubierta de Leganés in Madrid, where they gathered over 8,000 attendees, reaffirming the strength of Colombian regional music in Europe.
Achievements that redefine the genre

- Paola Jara also received a GRAMMY nomination in the same category with Sin Rodeos, solidifying the presence of Colombian popular music in spaces traditionally dominated by other Latin regional styles.
